Bragada Crowne Mattress Worthless

Purchased a split king Bragada Crowne mattress on Leggett & Platt frame in December. Within 6 months one mattress started cratering when laid on by my 240# Husband. By February, this mattress would not support an 8# infant (yes, 8 pounds) without the child sinking to the frame. Yet, when unoccupied, the mattress appeared perfect. Plus, the other mattress had also started cratering under my 160# body.

Needless to say, after many phone calls & emails, we were told they cannot guarantee the quality of the foams they use & since the memory foam is fine, they may or may not cover replacement under warranty. However, if we wished to send the mattress back, at our own expense, they would look at it. If found not to be defective, we would be out of luck. Not sure what we were supposed to sleep on in the mean time....

While trying to replace these mattresses, I spoke with several competitor companies that echoed they are also unable to guarantee the quality of their foams. I'm not sure what the point of a warranty is, if it doesn't cover anything. Maybe that's the point. Lure the customer in to purchasing an expensive product that truly has no guarantee of quality.

Needless to say, we ended up throwing these mattresses away and purchased a cheap memory foam mattress from Walmart in a standard king size. It, too, only lasted a couple of years. But, at $400, I expected that. I certainly didn't expect to pay over $3400 for a worthless piece of junk from Bragada.

Bragada Deluxe: Nice while it lasted, but warranty is a joke
by: Bill

If you buy this "sleep system" please think of it as disposable. Granted it is cheap, but they do not last a "lifetime" and the warranty is easily voided. We have had ours 9 years, and it has completely failed. It was a nice bed for 4 years of that, then the indentations started to form. At 7 years they were impossible to hide. This year it became to uncomfortable to sleep in anymore, the back problems it was intended to alleviate were now caused by it. The company had been sold a time or so since the purchase of our bed, but they were at least willing to consider it. After jumping through the hoops, they determined that stains on the mattress voided the warranty. In closing, it was nice, but it did not last. I would not do it again.
