Serta Super King Pillow Top Review - 4 Stars

My husband and I have slept comfortably on our Serta Super Pillow Top for almost two years now. We purchased it second hand through an online advertising site but had been told that it was kept clean, had little use, and was mostly the mattress on the bed in the guest room.

We paid $300.00. I understand that they go for about $600.00 brand new. I didn't think I was going to like the pillow top at first. My main concern was finding sheets that would fit a King pillow top, I absolutely hate it when the sheets slip off of the corners in the middle of the night leaving you face down on the mattress waffle. Yuck.

Not only was I able to find several sets of sheets to fit this bed, it holds them nicely. The pillow top does not stick up so far as to leave an unsightly gap between the bottom of the mattress and the fitted sheet.

As for comfort, I don't think we have any complaints. My husband and I are an example of "opposites attract" he is about 5'6" and weighs 150 lbs, while I am 6'2" and weigh about 250.

In the past we have had a terrible time finding a mattress that was long enough for my feet not to hang over the edge of and one that didn't develop an unsightly sag on my side of the bed. We've tried rotating, flipping, turning and propping up our previous mattresses, I haven't had to do that at all with our Serta Super Pillow Top.


It has kept it's shape and I'm hoping it will do so for a long time to come. We find the pillow top very comfy without being so deep that you feel suffocated by it, the mattress itself has very little wobble when one of us creeps out of the bed late at night while the other is sleeping.

Once, during a "romantic" evening, I managed to spill half a bottle of merlot on his side of the bed. While the sheets were quickly washed I was afraid of a huge unsightly stain on the mattress itself. I was very pleased to find that with a little dabbing and some minor scrubbing there does not appear to be a stain at all. Most of the wine seemed to bead off and catch in the bed skirt.

Over all I would give the Serta Super Pillow Top four out of five stars. It is very comfortable, reasonable in price even when new and wears well under nightly usage and even the occasional "date night" mishap. I would have liked it if there was some way to remove the top and have it cleaned but that's not an option available on pillow tops.

I have noticed that the pillow top itself has started to flatten a bit, but our mattress is over five years old. Some wear and tear is expected. For our money it was a great deal and we have spent many, many blissfully restful nights on it. I would buy one again.

Serta Island Tropics Mattress

We bought Serta Island Tropics (full) from Rooms To Go couple of weeks ago for our 3 year old. On the first night it was noticably sagging in the middle and has become worse each day. We immedietly contacted Rooms to Go and service technician came out and stated that there was visible 1 inch sag in the middle, without anyone on the bed. He left and week later we are still waiting to hear if the mattress is going to be replaced.

Serta Alleene Plush Queen Size Mattress

My mattress is the most comfy and sleep worthy bed I have ever slept on. After buying a Serta I will never go to anything else, this is after I have tried multiple brands. I have a Serta Alleene Plush Queen size mattress.

Not only is this Serta mattress comfy, it was able to fit through my door! Even after scrunching it up to fit, it sprang right back into shape. Although I have a Queen mattress I am sure it comes in twin, full, Queen, and King sizes.

I have had the mattress for two years. It is great to sleep on, the first night I got it, I was asleep faster then I had ever been. For years I have had a bad back, going through many different mattresses to find the right one.

After finding this mattress I am usually am pain free after using this firm, plush mattress. The mattress is as plush as it was when I first got it, no denting and no lumps, all nice and smooth sleeping. My husband also likes the mattress, he says "it's just right", and I agree.

Sometimes with this mattress I have to a deep pocket sheet, because normal ones do not fit. I am pretty sure the ma tress also has a warranty, for 5 years. I did pay $450.00 for it, but many places do have sales on it, last time I went to the store I found it for $299.99 I would give this mattress 4 stars out of 5, although it should probably be 5 starts I really want to try a memory foam mattress soon to see how it matches up. I can guaranty my mattress is softer, better and more comfy then yours!

Serta Cromwell Firm Full-size Mattress Set

I would have to say that the brand of mattress I sleep on isn't the best. In fact, I would dare even say it was one of the worst mattresses I have ever slept on in my life!

It my seem cliché, and others may disagree with me, but beds are probably in the eye of the beholder, sort-to-speak. The offender was a Serta Cromwell Firm Full-size Mattress Set that I has bought at a mattress store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

At the time, I was desperate for a bed because anything was better than sleeping on the floor. My wife and I were just starting a family and we needed something to make her and I comfortable during and after her pregnancy.

It cost about $250.00, so the price was a steal, but only because it was a floor model they were trying to get rid of. I honestly didn't think it would last that long to tell you the truth.

Surprisingly, it lasted a whole 3 years, which was better than I had anticipated. The positives of buying this brand of bed, was that it was cheaper than most of the other name brand beds on display, it served a short term purpose, and it lasted longer than I thought it would.

You would think that most beds would last about 10 years, right? Not with this one. It wasn't as comfortable, and frequently disturbed my sleep because when it started wearing out, the springs would start poking me in the back, one even punctured through the mattress and gashed my back, so I had to get stitches!

I had to take a pair of pliers and cut the spring, buy egg crate foam at the local store, to try and mend the hole. The bed was also very bouncy and noisy, so every time my spouse woke up to go to the restroom or check on the kids in the middle of the night, I would feel the bed shake like there was an earthquake, and it would knock me out of a restful sleep, and sometimes onto the floor.

I would also wake up with so many kinks in my back, I felt like a pretzel coming out of a pretzel factory. I would end up going into work all achy and grumpy because of the pain added with a lack of sleep from the night before. It affected my work performance, and in my line of work, you can’t afford to make any mistakes, especially since human lives depend on me not to.

When I go to buy a bed again, I would have to say I would go with a more durable model. Getting a restful sleep with a bed that would last longer is more beneficial for your well being financially and physically. I think next time we will invest in a model that doesn’t have springs.

I hear memory foam may be a good idea. But in my future endeavors in mattress buying, one thing is for sure, I will definitely do my research before blindly buying mattress from Serta again!

My Serta Plush Mattress - Overly Cushiony Queen Size Bed

The mattress I sleep on is a Serta plush mattress, and it is moderately comfortable for me. I wish I had a firmer mattress though, because it’s very difficult to fall asleep on an overly cushiony mattress in my opinion.

It also slides a lot on the box spring, so after a few days worth of getting in and out of bed, the mattress will actually slide a few inches to the left or right, and I’m always pushing it back in place. It’s a queen size, and I like that I can stretch out on it when my partner is not with me.

I also love that I cannot feel the springs in my bed, like previous beds I’ve owned. I bought it about a year ago, at sears, along with another mattress for my niece. Although it was approximately 600$, I was willing to pay because I desperately needed a mattress for my queen bed frame. I had found other, firmer, options but they were very pricey, well out of my budget zone.

I think the twin size mattress I bought along with mine is more comfortable, even though it is a pillow top, it feels firmer than mine. In the future I would like to get a new mattress, or even a new bed completely, I think a king size would fit me and my partner better. Hopefully, Ill get a mattress like the twin I have, one firm enough to be comfortable.

I would also like to maybe get that mattress that you set the firmness settings for, but realistically it is way to expensive, just like that Tempur-Pedic bed I always see on TV. I don’t know much about mattress as for as brand names go, so when I buy a new one I suppose ill be open to any brand. This is the first mattress I’ve ever bought, having moved out of my parents house.

Serta Fontana Euro Pillow Top Mattress - 5 Stars

My current mattress is a Serta Fontana Euro pillow top (Model # 262233). I was out at Menard’s one night checking out the prices of stoves when I walked by the little mattress section they have.

I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time desperate for a new mattress. I laid down and didn’t want to get back up! It was just what I was looking for. The price was great too. We paid around $500 and we only needed to replace the mattress. I thought it was a great price to pay for the comfort we are getting.

Six years prior to this purchase we had paid $600 for our first mattress set as a married couple. It was nowhere near as comfortable or high quality as the Serta. My husband and I have been enjoying wonderful sleep with this mattress for the past two years.

The next time I need a new mattress I will be looking for the same brand and style! My favorite feature of this mattress is the plush pillow top. I love a soft bed and this delivers! It has a couple inches of memory foam in the top so you sink right in to the bed. It also holds your form and adjusts to your body while you sleep.

I had thought that most memory foam mattresses were really uncomfortable and stiff but this one is great since it’s only a couple of inches. After two years of nightly use, this mattress still looks new. The pillow top has not deteriorated and still provides the same level of comfort it did the day we brought it home.

The only thing to consider when buying this mattress is that it can’t by flipped like a traditional mattress. With the plush pillow top, you will always have to keep it on the top. Overall, this is a fantastic product and would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers a soft mattress! 5 Stars
