GoldBond 613 Wool Wrap Futon Mattress Review - 5 Stars!
by Sherisa S.
I chose this particular matress because I was going to be using it for sleeping nightly and I needed something to stand the test of time. To my surprise it did. It's filled with wool and cotton, which makes the matress feel really firm. It's nothing like the foam futons you may come across in department stores. This matress was so thick that I had a problem the first few times getting it to bend. It wasn't the matress...it was me! It's so solid that it seems to weigh a ton. This was probably my only fault with the matress. The heaviness. I couldn't move it around like I wanted, without help. Also, when it was time to wash the cover, it was a bit difficult to maneuver. There was an upside to this matress being so heavy, it was durable. The matress never looked like it had been slept in. It's a firm matress, so it never "gave" much. However, the firmness never meant uncomfortable nights. The bed was very comfortable to me. Actually, I still use it from time to time when I have guests over. There was no wear and tear to the matress, which seemed to have something to do with the sturdy materials which it consisted, such as the wool. I would never give my futon up, because I do not believe the brands in the stores compare to it's quality. It's not a mushy matress. It is exactly what one should expect from a matress, even if it is a futon. Quite frankly, it is the best quality of a futon matress I have yet to see. It is still one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. I would definitely give it a 5 star rating. I don't usually recommend things, because I prefer not be a part of anyone's choices when it comes to spending money. But this mattress I would truly recommend.
