Kingsdown Sleep To Live BLUE - 400

I'm sure by now, everyone has realized that NO OTHER COMPANY but SLEEPY'S sells those!

A little suspect?? It is...

My wife and I, spent over $2K on a blue 400 queen mattress.

They actually made us feel like we were compromising by not spending more money on the higher end model... The bed was horrible! BIG TIME!

Started sagging within a month… It was only comfy for a week, thanks to the pillowtop.

After we purchased, I actually read all the fine print, which is quite extensive... The issue was that even though I was sleeping in a pit (literally!!), the company allows 1.75inches of an indentation, which they insist is normal, as the bed is adjusting to your body shape (if I was a boulder!)...

I called Sleepy's to get my mattress inspected and hopefully get it replaced.

The girl that inspected was nice enough to see the frustration and the ridiculousness of the situation, and granted the replacement on the grounds that there were air pockets in the mattress, hence rendering it defective... Really not the case, but did the trick.

We ended up getting a Sterns & Foster instead. One of the best ones available! It made a world of difference!

Important detail: The scum that sold us that mattress insisted that we needed a box spring to make sure our warranty is valid.

Totally not the case! Guess what...The credit of the replacement was for the mattress only, not the box-spring... Which means we wasted a good $400!!

Bottom line, if those mattresses are that great, then how come only Sleepy’s sells them? Well, they’re not great. They’re actually awful. They’re overpriced, they sag easily, and the whole “sleep system” is designed to make you feel like an idiot.

Unfortunately, the uneducated moron with the cheap suit and dirty tie that is the salesman, has a script that works for most people…

If you ask, “how come I’ve never heard or seen this brand of mattresses anywhere else?”, they would say something like “well, you never see commercials for a Ferrari…do you?”.

Do yourself a favor and do your research, and don’t buy on your first or even second visit…

I’m going to post this to as many places as possible to warn people. I wish there were that many posts when I first bought mine…

Nothing is perfect 100% of the time...

My husband bought a kingsdown from sleepys back in 2007. it is the most amazing mattress. its so soft (better than the 5 star resorts we vacation in).

I think the previous review was a little dramatic. the reason only sleepys sells it is because its a private label brand. they have exclusive rights to it. its like complaining that you cant buy a brand new volkswagen at a toyota dealership.

that being said. no company can be perfect all of the time. i bought a brand new honda and had tons of trouble with it within 5 months. thats not the norm. but i didnt blame honda and proclaim that every car they have is garbage. it happens. factorys can make mistakes.

my husband and i love our kingsdown and just ordered another one (king size since the other is a queen and purchased when we lived in an apt).

Do NOT buy Kingsdown mattresses. My 7 year old mattress sags by one inch. Customer services says no replacement unless it sags by 1-1/2 inch. Unaccpetable for a +$3000.00 mattress.

Kingsdown Model 400 SRS Red King Set from Sleepy's

This is the worst purchase we have ever made. The mattress was uncomfortable from the start. When we called Sleepy's, they replaced it once and it was still uncomfortable, completely different than what we tried in the store.

We used it for a couple-three months then called Sleepy's again and either Sleepy's or Kingsdown sent someover to check it out. Of course, they don't lay down your bed, but they do MEASURE the sag and they tell us it is completely normal.

Save your money and don't ever buy this piece of junk. Neither Sleepy's nor the Kingsdown warranty served us. We still use this crummy mattress because it was so expensive and we can't afford to buy new ones every year.

But you would think $2500.00 and a so-called 10-year warranty, you would get good service. Again, Buyers beware! Stay away from the Kingsdown mattress line.
