My Serta Donald Trump Memory Foam Mattress Review

I would give my side of the Donald Trump mattress a 0/4 rating but my husband would rate his at 4/4. The problem on my half is the mattress has sagged under the hips & shoulders, and although there aren't a lot of shoulder & arm problems, my legs hurt when lying on my left or right side and on my back.

On my left side, the ridge that's been created along the centre of the bed where nobody sleeps, is where my knees end up - & I mean UP: the knees are bent, of course, towards this centre ridge, which raises the knees so that they're much higher than the hips, and pulls on the legs & hip join, and pushes the knee cap out of place at night.

When lying on my right side there's a similar problem but it's not as bad. Still, my knees are being pushed upwards because the matress has not absorbed the shape of my knees (because they're so much lighter than my hips I guess).

When lying on my back, I need a pillow under the knees because the mattress has sagged there, providing no support for my knees - in fact, it's almost like having your knees hanging in mid-air, causing them to hyper-extend.

Rolling over on this mattress takes a great deal of effort because I've sunk down into it, but my arms & legs are on another level. It's like trying crawl around at the bottom of a soggy pit.

My husband doesn't mind his side of the mattress at all.

My knees & legs hurt at night, & recently I've had a very serious knee injury on the left, which improved while away on holiday for 2 weeks - coincidentally, when I was able to sleep on flat mattresses.

However, one of the hotels we stayed in had a memory foam mattress with a big ridge up the centre like our mattress, and on either side of the ridge the mattress was saggy, lumpy, & uncomfortable to sleep on for both of us. That was when my husband realized what problems I'm having with our own mattress.

Fortunately the memory foam at the hotel was the only bad mattress experience on the holiday, & even the worst mattresses otherwise were better than our new memory foam.

What's good is that after two weeks away from our Serta Trump mattress, the "memory" on my mattress had erased itself; so the mattress was soft and flat & comfy when we returned home, and I've had a few good nights' sleep. But after only a week, it's beginning to sag again, and last night my knees & legs began hurting again.

Another unrelated and minor problem with this mattress is that the sales pitch included telling us that it would help keep us cool at night; because apparently the foam draws the heat away from the body to help prevent night sweats. Unfortunately, that is not the case. It's no better than any other mattress, and in fact my husband says he actually sweats more than he used to.

I would not recommend this mattress, but if you're going to buy one, make sure you're shaped like my husband: slim and without curves. And it's best if you don't have any problems with night sweats to begin with.

Have had the Serta Trump mattress for two years but this mattress is so ridiculously soft you cannot even turn over in bed. It is roasting hot as well! It forms deep body impressions with a middle hump (that area is the only comfortable spot on bed)

The mattress was good for only a few weeks after purchase and then it formed the impressions. I am 120 lbs; my husband 180 lbs. He has to turn the mattress every few weeks so we can get a night of comfort (but even that doesn't help)

The impressions go away shortly after you get out of bed so I dont think Serta will honor warranty on this. I often sleep on the edge of the bed with a pillow next to me to keep from rolling into the impression.

We spent $1700 on mattress and have to purchase a new one because this one is so miserable.

This mattress is very comfortable if I'm the only one sleeping in the bed. As soon as my husband gets in bed I feel like I'm about to roll down to his side. I hate that I spent so much money to be as unhappy as we are with our purchase.

This mattress is making me sick. I have had it 3 months. Has caused seizures,back pain and is extremely hot. I have letters from my doctors that I should get another bed. This is my second mattress from Mattress King and they will not help me.
Sent a warranty claim in to Serta and they turned it down. Serta does not seem to care.

Serta Trump Home king mattress set - Horrible!

We are so disappointed in our purchase, almost 1700 dollars for this set and after two weeks we noticed a hump forming in the middle of the mattress, and deep body impressions. We've had it for only 4 months and hate it, especially my husband who is complaining of back pain already.

Its not comfortable at all, I can't believe how many bad reviews on this set, I wish I saw these before buying. Very very disappointed.

Demand your money back plus pain from all you had to go through. I am so glad I read your comments before I bought one. How could he put his name on something so shoddy? Do not stand still for this bad treatment. We need to hold people responsible for what they sell for a high price.

Trump Mattress: Most Expensive and Worst

The trump mattress I purchase was over $3,000 and is the worst mattress I have ever owned. My previous mattress was aver 15 years old and we thought it was time for a new one not because of comfort but just thought new would be better. Boy were we wrong.

The new one is less than 6 months old and has a hump in the middle and does not give enough support to allow me to lay on my side. The store we purchased it form is giving us the run-around. I will get more specific if they do not make good on this product.

What a waste of $1000 (and that was a sale price)! I am so disappointed, I could cry. Who has that kind of money to throw away?

I bought this a month ago and there's already a body impression. I'm not a stick figure but I'm not real overweight either (I'm 5'5" and weigh 158 lbs). I have a bad back and I'm already starting to have more noticeable low back pain since I bought this.

Also, it's like sleeping on a bed of jello. It's such a jiggly mattress. I'm not married but my 6-year-old son sleeps with me on the weekends and I feel every move he makes all night long because it shakes the entire bed. I will never, ever buy a Serta again and I will recommend to anyone who is thinking about it to look into a different brand.

Serta Grand Salon Super Pillow Top Plush Mattress

My wife and I started with the Serta energizing latex foam mattress and after about 6 months it began to break down where we slept. We fortunatly bought it from a very reputible store and they worked with us to have a warranty replacement sent out and now after only about 10 months the Serta Trump grand salon is doing the same thing. Now unfortunatly for me I am stuck with having to go thru this all again! So have there been others with serta foam mattress issues?

Trump Mattress - Love It!

I never had a problem sleeping until 4 years ago I broke my back. I never had a problem sleeping until I had my injury. I wake up from pain in my hip,back and legs at least a half dozen times a night. I ended up purchasing a Trump mattress and last night had my first sleep on it. Oh my goodness I woke up almost in tears this morning.

I woke up at 5 a.m. which is my normal time to get up. I feel phenomenal Rested for the first time in my life. Don't get me wrong I am in pain I always will be but it is incredible how much better I feel. One of the things that helped me pick the right bed was number one I've had two family members purchase new beds but I took the Mattress Selector little quiz they have on this website. Anyways I cannot wait to go back to bed tonight and might just have am a small nap this afternoon. Love it!!!!

Trump Mattress Awful

I have had my Trump mattress for 5 months now and it is absolutely awful. I wish I had read the comments before purchasing. My husband and I both wake up with sore backs every morning and I toss and turn all night. It's terrible how you look at it and see where we have slept with a hump in the middle.

I love Serta and my queen was very comfortable but needed something bigger. I think we've thrown away our money as we did not purchase the cover the store sold. I think this bed holds enough heat and using the mattress cover required would allow no breathing. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MATTRESS, you will lose money.

How is the mattress working for you? Is the mattress still a piece of garbage? I just saw this in the store today and bought it for 2800 dollars, I read your post and all the comments and I am thinking of cancelling the order to save my $2800.

Eurotop should've stayed in

I purchased the Eurotop for about $2500 and that was the sale price! Already rolling in the middle when sleeping w/ partner. They have the foam on the sides of the bed so you can sleep to the edge bugt it is a waste of 4" of mattress on both sides. While the mattress sinks in when you lay on it, the foam does not. So, you end up sleeping lopsided if you get anywhere near the foam frame. 4" on either side means your 60" mattress just went down to 52".

That means 2 people have a 2'2" to lay on each. Not much space at all. It is disappointing that what I tried in the store is nothing like what I got at home and the foam frame is such a waste. How many people fall out of bed? It makes the mattress not have uniformity. Surprised Donald Trump would put his name on this. Probably a cheap mattress that is greatly marked up because of his name.

14 months ago we purchases TWO sets of the Serta's Trump Mattress, Within 6 months the centers of both beds wer sagging as if they were 20 years old. Shortly there after the edge of one of the beds gave way to the point when you set on the bed's edge to lay down you all but slip off into the floor. You literally have to set at the lower (foot) edge of the bed...lay back and push yourself up into the TRUMP MATTRESS.

For a time I thought I (a man) was having heaelth issues due to the night sweats I was now experiencing. I have been assured (medically) there is NO physicological reason for my (off and on) night sweats. Reading post on other blogs regarding the TRUMP MATRESS and I find a common (additional) complant....they sometimes cause others to also sweat during the night.

Complaining to the store where we purchased the matresses was a waste fo time...that store has now gone of our business. In our opinions, we have wasted $3,500.00 on the Serta TRUMP MATTRESS. We have to purchase TWO new mattress sets...they WILL NOT BE SERTA ANYTHINGS.

Do Not Buy a Trump Mattress

This mattress is horrible! After only a month of use we have a ridge in the middle and sides. I am 135lbs, my husband 175lbs. It is very hard to roll out of bed over this ridge or towards him. We've had the warranty people out from the BedMart to examine this bed. They cannot do anything about it unless the bed sags 1.5 inches. After a month we are already at .5 inches. I have no doubt that we will reach 1.5 inches soon. Our mattress keeps this shape all day.

The warranty guys said to rotate the mattress a quarter turn to break it in. Soon we will have divits all over the mattress. Shame on Serta for making so many people miserable. And yes...what's up with the burning hot feel of the bed.

Buy your mattress from a store that will accept returns no matter what the reason! Our mistake to buy such and expensive mattress from a store that will not take it back...and that sells such a bad product to begin with.

Definitely have body impressions, although they are only an inch so we cannot use the warranty yet.

We have only had the mattress for 6 months. I also find it very hot to sleep on even though it has the Cool Comfort feature.

We previously had a memory foam mattress topper and I did not find it so hot. We bought the firm mattress, but are both finding sore backs already.

We are going to try and exchange it through the Brick where we bought it, but don't know if we can get something comparable since we got it at 40% off. First time with a king mattress, too. This is probably why I am not used to the impressions and the raised centre.
