Tempur-Pedic OriginalBed experience
by Christopher
To begin with, this thing is huge, bulky, and extremely heavy to carry around. You'd think that wouldn't be possible given that this thing is made of foam, but somehow it is. And trying to get it up two flights of stairs was a nightmare too. And from my personal experience, I didn't really sleep much better in it. Sure, the mattress was comfortable, but it was hot. Unbearably hot. And there was this funny smell on it all of the time. It turns out it was thanks to some sort of chemical the company uses in their mattresses. If it's true that this stuff was developed for NASA's astronauts, I actually feel really sorry for them. I could barely sleep in that thing, what with the combination of a bad chemical smell (I thought it was formaldehyde quite personally) and it being unbearably hot to me. Don't ask why or how but it was. So after about about a week or so of trying to sleep on this ridiculous thing, I ended up returning it. It was a huge waste of $700 of my money, and I don't intend to ever buy another thing from this company again. I'm not impressed at all with Tempur-Pedic's products. I think next time I'll go to a furniture store and talk to someone well versed in the art of mattresses, not some company that's trying to make an extra dollar off people simply because they had a bit of success with NASA. I can't even bring myself to compare this mattress to any other either, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at all.
