I Wish I'd Bought A Custom Comfort Mattress Instead Of King Koil Spine Support

by Rose B.
(Tucson, Arizona)

Our mattress is a Queen Mattress and box spring from the King Koil Spine Support Collection. I regret not buying the King size mattress as the Queen I don't feel is large enough for two adults. It is only marginally comfortable to sleep on. It is kind of stiff and hard with little support. It does not provide good back support for an adult; but is okay for a child. It is a bit too firm for my liking.

Overall the thing I dislike the most is the cheap looking upholstery on it. It is white, doesn't look very upscale or expensive. It has the look of a cheap mattress set. We bought it a little over a year and a half ago. We've used it for a year and a half. It is okay as far as durability goes, not exceptionally sturdy. Two adults on it makes it sag a bit in the center and kind of roll into each other.

It is holding up okay. We wound up buying another mattress out of frustration and we like that one better. Our previous mattress was $450. It was not worth the price, ultimately. I would give this mattress only one star because I can't give it fewer stars. It is that bad. I would not buy the same mattress model again.

Unfortunately, because we were in a rush to settle down into our new home, we didn't do any research and that was the problem. I think if I had I would have initially bought a different mattress. We owned a Custom Comfort Mattress before that was durable, strong, soft, and like an absolute dream to sleep on. It was button tufted, had organic cotton fiber fill and was a beauty. I loved it. We left it behind when we moved to this state. If I could go back I'd have just brought our Custom Comfort Mattress with us and not replaced it. Oh well, you live you learn. Some investments are better than others, I guess.

We gave the mattress to our daughter to sleep on. Her light frame doesn't cause an indent like our two bodies did on it. She loves it and says its just fine for her. So maybe the moral of the story is an inexpensive mattress is better suited to a child because their bodies are lighter weight and this means that there will be less of an "indent" in the mattress and it will be more comfortable for that person. Adults need more support and padding to feel comfortable.
