Leesa Mattress Review

I had been in the market for a new mattress for a while and I was intrigued by the concept of a bed in a box. There’s been much advertising and good reviews for such products, so I was willing to do a little bit more research on that route. I was concerned because no one I personally knew had one, but I still wanted to explore my options.

I ended up purchasing a Leesa mattress in August prior to moving into my new apartment. I went with the Leesa because it has been around the longest in this current generation and had complimentary reviews. The experience has been a positive one so far.

The mattress was shipped in a box to my current residence it is was easy to move around, if you can lift 80 pounds. There are built in handles that allow for lifting and the packaging was too bulky and didn’t take up too much space prior to me opening it.

The one off-putting part of the memory foam mattress is the off gassing when you first open the bag containing the mattress. It certainly does have a smell that lingered for the better part of a week. It was summer, and I wonder if the heat contributed to my ability to catch of whiff of the smell during that first week. The off-gassing smell certainly dissipated come the second week.

The purchase, delivery and set up process was easy enough. I was certainly rank all three of these much more satisfactory than going to a brick or mortar store for a traditional mattress. So far, those positive vibes have continued into the actual usage of the mattress.

The adjustment period to a foam mattress happened quickly. Within a night or two I was sleeping soundly all night on the new mattress. I have found the Leesa mattress to be a little bit firmer than my previous traditional spring mattress, but I have only been sleeping on it for a couple of months.

One pleasant surprise was that the mattress stays cool, it was a concerned I had coming in with a memory foam material, but I haven’t encountered any instances of overhearing due to the mattress material. I have not found any meaningful difference in the way I sleep and the quality of the sleep on this new mattress.

I usually start sleeping on my back and make my way to my side or stomach throughout the night. I have slept comfortably in all these positions on my Leesa. I have been trying to convert to a back sleeper only, but it isn’t happening as quickly as I would have liked. I was concerned because the Leesa isn’t necessarily known as a great mattress for stomach sleeper, according to reviews and online forums but I haven’t had any issues.

I am very happy with my purchase and the entire process culminating up to this point. If given the choice I would certainly buy this product again and I would recommend this product to my friends.
