Serta iComfort Savant EverFeel Plush Review

by Sam Y
(Cleveland, OH)

I've had the Serta iComfort Savant EverFeel Plush mattress for about 8 months now and I don't hate it but I wish I had gone with something else. It's hard to move around on which is something that I cannot stand.

When I bought the bed, I was told that it would help me sleep a lot cooler but to be honest, I'm hotter than how I was on my old innerspring mattress. The comfort level is fine. I like a softer mattress which this mattress is soft so I am fine with that.

Support wise, I feel like I have a more supportive mattress than what I used to have but I think it could be better. When I bought the mattress it was between a Sealy Optimum and the iComfort. The only reason I went with the iComfort was because the store had a better financing length than the other store that had the Optimums.

On a scale of 1-5, I would probably give this mattress a 2 or a 3. I bought this mattress in a queen size for I believe 1799 for the set: mattress and box spring. If I had to buy the mattress again I probably wouldn't go with it. I would probably go with either a hybrid bed or just a higher end innerspring mattress.

The mattress has held up pretty well so far. I do have a little bit of an impression in it but not anything super noticeable. Also with this being an all foam bed, I was told that you don't have to rotate the mattress but I've had to rotate it a couple time because I felt like I was beginning to notice where I was laying just a little bit.

This mattress is really just OK. It's not anyting that I would say is one of the worst purchases I've ever made but I also don't think it was the greatest one I ever made. One other thing that I didn't like about the mattress was when I got it delivered was that it smelled horrible. They warned me that it would have a slight odor but that it would go away within 24 hours. I had the thing for a week before the smell actually went away.

And when I got it delivered it felt a lot firmer than what it did in the store. I called and they said it would soften up over time which it has but my worry is that it will completely get so soft that it loses all it support over time. We will see if that actually happens but for now it is just an alright mattress.

by: mary lou bryant

I have had my mattress for 2 years now, I still hate it , unfortunately i paid 2500 for the full size, and I kept thinking I would get used to it. It was not the case, I dislike it today as I did when it was delivered. But I feel i'am stuck, with it

I found my self sleeping better and no longer had pain in my hip

by Kristen G.
(Lafayette, LA)

We purchased our iComfort Savant EverFeel Firm two years ago. Prior to our purchase I had problems sleeping and had hip pain, on the side I predominately laid on. My arms fell asleep on me too. I would also wake one to two times per night.

After delivery of our new mattress, the pain subsided and I found my self sleeping better and no longer had pain in my hip. My husband has sciatic nerve problems and he finds his symptoms to be much less now after the purchase. In general I find the mattress to be very comfortable and suitable for people with back problems or sleeping problems.

I find its firm texture to be appealing and a great choice for us because we co-sleep with our infants and I wouldn't want my babies rolling around every time I moved. That and I know I can move or get up without waking them.

We do rotate our mattress every four months or so, to preserve its loftiness. My husband is a heavier guy and our old mattress has sunken in where he laid. I also like the design on the mattress.

The only cons I can think of are; Its difficult to clean the mattress. I once spilt coffee on the bed and the stain is still there. That and we also purchased the I comfort bed sheets and we found those to be very cheaply made, very thin and flimsy. They actually tore in the washer. That and I have noticed where my husband sleeps that the mattress is beginning to lose its form, despite us rotating it clockwise every four months or so.

My husband is by no means obese, just a larger guy about 6 foot 6. The mattress did come with a twenty-five year manufactures warranty and Im sure we will use that in less than ten years, if wear and tear applies. The mattress Is not as deep as I thought, so sheets are hard to find.

Im not sure if its our bed frame or the mattress thats to blame but in our king size bed frame the mattress is not an exact fit and theres a gap at the foot of the bed, about 4 inches wide, or so.

All in all, i'd recommend an Icomfort bed to average sized people and give the mattress as a whole four stars. i really appreciate the 25 year warranty too.

The extra cost of the iComfort has paid off in a better night’s sleep

by Jane M.
(Green Valley, AZ)

In August 2014 I purchased a queen sized Serta iComfort Savant EverFeel Plush mattress. I have historically owned traditional spring and foam mattresses. After relocating cities for a new job and being in the market for a new mattress, I went out in search of an iComfort.

Six months before I spent a week sleeping on a friend’s iComfort and decided that I needed to experience such comfortable well rested sleep on a permanent basis. I purchased this beauty and after getting it set up at home, laid down on the cool action gel memory foam. I really love how the mattress sort of hugs into your body without making you feel like you can’t move.

I’m a big fan of mattresses that are plush – you sink down an inch or so and then are firmly supported. This iComfort is great and very true to the definition of a plush mattress. The top of the mattress is just soft enough without being hot. While I don’t have any back issues, I do have frequent leg pain due to a lack of knee cartiledge.

My job requires me to sometimes walk long distances and stand for the majority of a day. On these work days, my legs are often sore and extremely achy. After a night of sleep on the iComfort, my legs feel rejuvenated and refreshed, ready for a new day.

While I haven’t had the mattress a year, the quality of the construction is top notch and feel that it will hold up for many years to come. My only minor complaint is the weight of the mattress. Granted, I don’t physically move the mattress very often, however at 100+ pounds, the next time I move apartments I’m going to need some assistance with moving the mattress.

I looked at a wide range of mattresses prior to this purchase and selected the iComfort for feel and durability of construction. While the price was slightly higher than a more traditional spring mattress, so far I think the extra cost of the iComfort has paid off in a better night’s sleep.

As I purchased this mattress based on having slept on a friend’s, I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone who enjoys a plush yet firm mattress that isn’t too hot and doesn’t make one feel suffocated. I think the true test of the comfort of a mattress is whether or not I’d purchase it again. With the Serta iComfort, based on my quality of sleep so far, I’d buy another in a heartbeat.
